David Royce BSc MRICS
David Royce is the Managing & Founder Partner of London & Oriental.
Having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor whilst at Donaldsons in their office agency and investment departments he worked at Chestertons in their investment department in London and joined the Hong Kong office of Jones Lang Wootton (now Jones Lang Lasalle) in 1976. His experience involved industrial, retail and office agency before he set up their investment department in 1985 and he was heavily involved in substantial inward investment by private clients and corporates from other Asian countries during the early years of Hong Kong’s economic recovery in the 1980s. He was also a founding member of the Bank Recovery Team acting for various Receivers and Liquidators during the several periods of recession that Hong Kong witnessed, and became a Pacific Proprietor in 1990.
Mark Cannell BSc MRICS
Mark Cannell is a Partner of London & Oriental.
Having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at DTZ, Mark joined the Investment Division of Jones Lang Wootton (now Jones Lang Lasalle) in 1987 where he was involved in the sale and acquisition of many central london properties acting on behalf of both UK and overseas investors including P&O, Burford, S&W Beresford, Tokio Marine, TOHO Life (Japan) and Kadoorie (Hong Kong). In addition, Mark worked on both the Asia and Japanese business desks in London, during his time at JLW.
Mark joined London & Oriental as a partner in 1995 where he specialises in the sourcing and acquisition of commercial property in the UK as well as the strategic asset management of commercial property in L&O’s investment funds. Mark has a wealth of experience in maximising investment performance for private investors in both commercial and residential property in the UK.
Simon Haynes BSc (Hons) MRICS
Simon Haynes is a Partner of London & Oriental.
Simon is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with substantial transactional and asset management experience in commercial property. After qualifying with Drivers Jonas in London, Simon joined First Pacific Davies (now Savills) in Hong Kong. He spent 17 years with the company, becoming Managing Director in 1998 with responsibility for 350 staff in thirteen offices, across six countries. Simon has been involved in a large number of high profile purchase, sale and leasing transactions and has provided advice to a variety of high profile property owners.
Since joining L&O as a Partner in 2002, Simon has been instrumental in setting up L&O’s property funds and has specialised in the selection of investment opportunities, strategic asset management, bank funding, financial reporting and investor relations.
